Changes to our operations
For the safety of customers, volunteers and staff, while still providing a service to the village in this time of Coronavirus we regret that we can no longer offer public access to the shop. Instead, we are implementing Shorter Opening Hours and a Telephone and Email Ordering Service. Newspaper Delivery will continue as normal.
As we proceed into these uncharted waters, we are learning as we go and have already made some changes. It is quite possible that we will make some more. We thank you for your support.
Email and Telephone ordering service
It's easier for us if you can send your order via the e-mail form below. Don't forget to include your name, phone number and address. However, if you prefer, call the normal shop number 01225 859 186 during our new opening hours (see panel on right) to place your order with one of the team. Once your order is picked and packed, we will call you again to take payment and arrange delivery to your doorstep.
What we sell
Bathford Shop and Café is a community venture in the heart of the village. We source from local suppliers wherever possible:
Freshly baked Hobbs House bread is delivered daily, organic cream and milk from Ivy House, freshly laid eggs from Warleigh Farm, luxury ice cream from Marshfield Farm and Lacock Dairy, local craft beers from Bath Ales and Box Steam Brewery and wines from Mumford's Vineyard. We also stock a wide range of other wines, ciders and lagers.
Locally reared meat, bacon and sausages are freshly supplied by Warleigh Farm and Larkhall Butchers.
Locally cured hams and a delicious range of local cheeses and organic hand-made truckles from the Calon Wen family farm in Wales.
There is a colourful selection of great value shrubs, flowering plants and cut flowers.
The Shop is a co-operative which has been formed to serve the village needs. We try to have a range of goods to suit all pockets and keep our prices as low as possible. Any profits which are made are used to keep the business running efficiently and when possible are used to support village activities.
